Our society portrays moms as superhuman beings promoting unrealistic expectations and a lifestyle where everything is perfect, painting a picture that is far from reality. Hence, the feelings of guilt and failure arise and build up over time.

Statistics show that about 80% of women feel like they are down in the dumps after having a child, and 10% go on to develop major postpartum depression. It is a condition that should not be taken lightly as kids from a damaged household have ended up on the wrong side of history, and depression can easily tear a family apart.
As progressive thinking continues to develop, thankfully, child-care is not viewed as the responsibility of only mothers. Men are increasingly participative and are lending a hand in tasks such as household chores.
