Thomas Cruise Mapother, popularly known as Tom Cruise, was born on July 3, 1962. He is an American actor and producer who started his career at age 19 in the film Endless Love (1981). He is the son of Mary Lee, a special education teacher and Thomas Cruise Mapother III, an electrical engineer who Cruise defines as a thorn in the flesh.
